Effective Sinus Treatment
We provide treatment for sinus problems in a variety of ways. Sinus decongestants with pseudoephedrine help dry up sinus membranes and relieve the pressure that excess fluid can cause, but should not be taken on an ongoing basis. Some patients use a sinus rinse to flush away excess mucus and relieve chronic sinus infection and pressure. Working as a nasal rinse, this is an effective way to clean nasal cavities and reduce the havoc that allergens or irritants may wreak on your sinuses.
If you are experiencing recurrent sinus disorders, you may have chronic sinusitis. Antibiotics, saline nasal rinses, and corticosteroids that can help reduce inflammation and provide effective sinus treatment.
For prolonged treatment for sinus disorders, we can recommend topical steroids like prescription nasal sprays, which reduce the inflammation in the nasal cavities next to the sinuses. Nasal steroid sprays or oral steroids may also help shrink nasal polyps that can accompany chronic sinus disorders. Decongestant nose sprays may also help in treating sinus problems, but should not be used for more than a few days at a time.
